Biography
Mohammad (Kian) Hosseini was a protester from Saqqez who died in October 2022 during the nationwide uprisings; accounts from the period describe him as having been executed or killed under torture. Following the news of his death, his mother, Maliheh Hassannezhad, suffered a stroke and remained in a coma for several months until her death in July 2023. He is remembered by his community for his humble aspirations and his sacrifice for the freedom movement.
محمد (کیان) حسینی از جانباختگان راه آزادی اهل سقز است که در مهرماه ۱۴۰۱ در جریان اعتراضات سراسری، بر اثر شکنجه یا اعدام جان خود را از دست داد. پس از انتشار خبر شهادت او، مادرش ملیحه حسننژاد دچار سکته مغزی شد و پس از چندین ماه کما، در تیرماه ۱۴۰۲ درگذشت. از او به عنوان جوانی با آرزوهای ساده یاد میشود که جانش را در راه آزادی فدا کرد و یادش در مراسمهای مردمی گرامی داشته میشود.
